about

In 2005 the legendary electropop pioneer band from England Heaven 17, who had top 3 hits in the UK in 1985, reunited and released a new album, Before After, via the US synthpop label Ninthwave records. Since Ninthwave had included a song by Plastic Orgasm People, Emiliano's former band in their Electricity compilation (that also included a song by Subversion, the band lead by Brandon Flowers, who later became a superstar as the lead singer of The Killers), they emailed him asing for a remix for Heaven 17's soon-to-be-released single, "Hands Up To Heaven". Many producers sent remixes but only a handful made the CD (yes, singles were released as CD's yet). One of them was the Canal Pop remix, by Canal Pop.

Incidentally, the single charted in Billboard's Dance/ Club plays at number 6, making thiss the only (though indirect) appearence at the Billboard charts by Canal Pop.
